What’s next? Valentine’s Day Ofcourse!!!

Time has just flown by!! It felt like just a moment ago I was celebrating with my friends and family while, counting down the last days of 2014. And before you know it, we are already settled back into the normal swing of things. These past few days have just flew by. It is already January 9th!!  It only hit me when I went to Wal-Mart the other day and saw the Sale section, which was filled with all the festive Christmas and New Year’s merchandise.

Right next to that section, the upcoming Valentine’s Day inventory were all neatly organized. I saw a few younger males, I’m guessing in their mid-20’s, going into the red and pink section. It is absolutely adorable seeing these young men so in love. And clearly, these men were since, they are shopping for Valentine’s Day over a month in advance. I wonder if my husband ever did that for me! But, seriously, February is a month filled with love, and it’s right around the corner. It can get quite overwhelming to find the perfect gift. Especially because it follows the whole Christmas Holidays. But the closer it gets to Valentine’s Day, the more anxious everyone gets to get their hubby a cute gift.

Many couples celebrate Valentine’s Day quite big. They receive jewelry and spend a night out on the town. I like to do that for my anniversary. The small things on Valentine’s Day makes the occasion perfect. Speaking for myself, receiving roses and some delicious chocolate for Valentine’s Day is the perfect way into my heart! And after so many years of marriage, my husband knows that pretty well. In fact, I think all women would appreciate some good quality chocolate and romantic roses! I am quite lucky because my husband loves to cook and can make the most delicious food. So, he is the cook for that evening. We end the night with a classic chick flick on our large screen while we lounge on our comfortable sofa.

But, we did get to this comfort level following many years of extravagant Valentine’s days. We were young and it was the days to just do the things we would not be able to do with the family. It was great while it lasted but, I would never trade in what we have now for the early stages of our relationship. Now we get to shop with the kids for valentines to give their classes. It’s quite different from the romantic couple stuff I was talking about earlier, but it is always cute! You can get cards with any kind of character you like. Of course, the kids love the candies too!

Even though it’s still early, it’s better to prepare for this ahead of time. The closer it is to Valentine’s Day, your partner will get extra snoopy to see what you are planning. Beat them to it and be ready with the perfect gift for your loved one!
